It's official; summer has arrived in Southport!
There's lots happening this month. Magical new trails, special events taking place at Victoria Park, and lots of lovely live music. If that's not enough, maybe you might enjoy fantastic new exhibitions at The Atkinson or the tenth Southport Summer Whisky festival.
Next month, big events like Southport Flower Show and Air Show arrive in town, but before that, let's make the most of July in Southport!

Southport Tolkien Trail
21 June - 27 September
A new trail arrives in Southport town centre this June, with activities celebrating the works of fantasy author J.R.R. Tolkien.
The trail spans nine unique locations, each celebrating all things The Hobbit and Lord of The Rings, including the The Magic Middle-earth exhibition at The Atkinson.
Southport Whisky Festival
Saturday 5 July
The annual Whisky Festival event features seven venues in the town centre pouring rare and special edition drams.
Visit each location, try some incredible whisky, and speak to experts from some of the UK's finest distilleries.
Blues Fest
11-13 July - Coopers Bar
A new three-day blues festival is launching at Coopers Bar in Southport, with music legends Mike Brookfield and Gary Cain will headline the festival. The festival is free to attend but guests need to sign up in advance.
Summer Car Show
Saturday 12 July - Victoria Park
A family-friendly fun day for petrol heads, with static displays and show vehicles including drift and track cars, American motors, and much more.
Enjoy food and drink, stalls, and DJ's. Inflatables and fun activities will keep the kids entertained throughout.
Conquer The Coast
Saturday 21 July- Victoria Park
This full-day event will challenge teams of four to a series of high-intensity workouts designed to test every aspect of fitness.
As well as the competition, there will be vendors supplying gym gear, food, supplements, and more.
New venues to try
Sirocco Restaurant
This brand new Mediterranean restaurant opened at The Grand in late June.
Think Mezze boards, Morroccan lamb, crispy seabass, and zingy Greek salads. Fresh, elegant places served in an incredible venue.
Little Korean Kitchen
A bitesize version of everyone's favourite Korean joint has opened inside Southport Market!
The new stall serves up street food classics as well as versions of much-loved favourites from the restaurant. Try their signature fried chicken, Korean corn dogs, Katsu cups, and much more.
Sip Southport
This charming London Street café is the latest venture from the owners of the beloved Hideaway.
At Sip, you’ll find a tempting selection of light bites, including freshly made sandwiches and, of course, an irresistible array of cakes
