Video : Specsavers Southport share their community vision
Specsavers have been committed to Southport since 1991 and feel right at home in the town centre.
Originally the stores consisted solely of the ground floor retail space, before expanding to both the first floor and the adjacent unit in the following years.
There’s much more to the Specsavers Southport than you might think. Alongside the shopping area, there are six consulting rooms and a dedicated ear care room for specialised consultancies.
Mark and Vicki told us more about their plans for community initiatives in 2025. The Specsavers team have just donated 650 high viz jackets to local schools and clubs.
They are also committed to supporting local charity Parenting 2000
Mark said : “We really love being in Southport town centre. We’ve actually had a couple of opportunities to move out…but we’ve always chose stay here and it’s accessible for our patients.
“We’ve loved seeing the bears around the town.
"We feel like Southport is starting to get a lot more investment.
“So whether you just need a little adjustment to your own glasses…you need a whole new pair…or if you need a hearing test or an eye test, it would be great to see you.
“Feel free to pop in and see us on Eastbank Street.”
