Southport Gets Spooky with AR Trails this Halloween

Families can explore Southport this Halloween in search of mischievous 3D monsters and characters.

Two free augmented reality (AR) trails will make for a fantastic day out in Southport during the spooky season, packed with selfie opportunities, surprises, and the chance to win exciting prizes.

Using a special trail map, visitors can uncover hidden locations throughout the town where secret QR codes are waiting to be found.  Scan the code and watch as 3D animated characters come to life!

Colourful, dancing beasties will appear around the town centre as part of the Moving Monsters Trail.

The Spooking Out Trail will take visitors around Ocean Plaza and Viking Golf, where you will encounter skeletons, vampires, and other mysterious friends.

Each stop is a perfect opportunity to pose for pictures and videos with the animated monsters and characters!

Those who complete the tasks on the trail map will be entered into prize draws, with fantastic goodies up for grabs!

Alongside the AR trails, businesses across Southport town centre will be taking part in ‘Treat or Treat’, where children in fancy dress can pick up a treat as they take on the trail.

The ‘Moving Monsters’ and ‘Spooking Out’ AR trails will be available throughout the autumn half-term break, from October 25 to November 2.
