Posted 3 July 2025

A spectacular two-day music festival is set to rock Southport this September!

The very first Coastal Jam is set to electrify the town centre on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September, promising an unforgettable weekend of live music, entertainment and family activities.

The festival will begin on Saturday afternoon with a packed playlist of performances in various locations around Southport town centre.

Spaces including Wayfarers Arcade and the Lord Street Bandstand will provide the backdrop for one-off sessions from local musicians and bands.

Town centre bars, pubs, and music venues will also host a line-up of gigs throughout the weekend, with over twenty venues already confirmed to be involved.

On Sunday, attention will be focused on Town Hall Gardens for an exciting day of family-friendly music and fun.

From 11.00 – 18.00, a line-up of children’s performers and live music suitable for all ages will take to the stage to entertain crowds.

Alongside the live show, The Atkinson will be hosting a programme of music-themed activities for visitors to enjoy.

More information on a fantastic line-up of artists will be announced soon.

Rachel Fitzgerald, Southport BID CEO said: “We’re delighted to launch the first ever Coastal Jam event in Southport.

“Music is such an integral part of the wider culture and tourism offer of the Liverpool City Region. This event will be a celebration of everything that Southport has offer.

“Coastal Jam is the perfect opportunity for visitors, families, and people of all ages to visit Southport for the weekend.

Some of the Southport’s most iconic spaces will come alive with one-of-a-kind performances.  The spotlight will also be on the bars and venues that drive our thriving live music scene.”

Southport’s first Coastal Jam festival is organised by Southport BID and Sefton Council with the support of town centre businesses.

Branding for the new festival has been imagined by Southport-based Liam Jackson Graphics.
